Penn Valley – Guest Room

This couple entertains a lot of International guests and they also love books. Their designer Hannah Dee asked us to assist her with this renovation. We took a no longer needed kids bedroom and transformed it into a deluxe retreat for visiting international guests and family when they visit. Inspiration for the deep finishes came from items around the rest of the house, and things the customers loved like book bindings and marbled paint on the edges of antique books. The old builder grade standard closet doors were replaced with carved pierced sandalwood doors from India and we installed antiqued mirrors behind to reflect back into the room. The unique lighting fixtures, heavy window treatments and beautiful furniture make this space a beautiful retreat.
