I have to say, I’ve never understood why people buy residential remodeling projects from people who are not domestic. There are scores of contractors and builders in the business who can handle the technical aspects, the nuts and bolts, of home renovation – but it ends there. They don’t understand the finer points of home renovation, including how homeowner emotions are so closely tied to how a home looks, feels and operates. I like thinking of this as the “soft touch” aspect of the business.
Our company is a certified women-owned business, and our management team naturally pays attention to the “soft touch” things we can do to help make a renovation project more personal and less stressful. Here are some of the things we do on every one of our jobs to keep it low stress for you, our customers:
We control dust through the use of plastic barriers and plywood.
We protect your floor finishes with paper and rubber mats.
We utilize lock boxes, so there is only one key to your house in use.
We design and build to your intended budget, so you don’t stress out about costs.
We build what’s designed and specified.
We get the job done so you can enjoy it.
We warranty our projects!
We don’t play loud music, smoke in your house, or use your vacuum or fridge. Your house is your home, and we respect it. We claim only enough space to get our work done effectively.
Here are some reasons why we are uniquely qualified to design and build your residential remodeling project:
Our team loves to cook, so we know how various kitchens should function. Whether your kitchen fun focuses on baking, braising, roasting, wood-fire pizza, baking, frying, sautéing, stir frying, steaming, vegetarian, Kosher, Asian, ADA … you name it, we know something about how that kitchen should operate. As I like to say, you wouldn’t buy a car designed or built by someone who doesn’t know how to drive. Why buy a kitchen from someone who doesn’t know how to cook?
We are great designers and craftsmen.
Many of us have Fine Arts degrees.
We all have very good taste and color sense.
Construction projects are stressful for you. We keep that in mind because we care.
We know your bathroom, every room in your house, should be beautiful and livable.
Our job sites are manned by the nicest guys in the world because, more than anything else, we recruit for “niceness.”
They take care of the day-to-day operations of your project. They make sure the projects are set up, the product is correct, that the right subs come at the right time to keep the job rolling. They handle the carpentry and they handle any warranty items that might come up. A recent item was replacing a warped toilet seat! You get the same Lead Carpenter from start to finish on your project and they manage everyone else who comes to the job site. That’s what you pay our general contracting company to do.
They can be in your house working full tilt and you will be able to nap or take a vacation feeling completely at ease. Many of our customers do!
Your pets will like them, but please keep them penned so they don’t get hurt or crawl into the wall spaces.
Most kids under six years old will tell their parents they want us to stop making loud saw noises, though teens sleep through our work days.
We are honest and thoughtful.
We think your home really is your castle. It should make your life more wonderful and pleasurable. We will help you achieve that.
