Most folks are oblivious to it, but new EPA lead regulations that effect anyone who owns, lives in, or works on a home built before 1978 will become effective on 4/22/2010.

The entire Myers Constructs, Inc. Production Team will spend the day on Wednesday taking an EPA certification class regarding the new lead laws that go into effect in April.
All contractors of any discipline that disturb more than six square feet of area in your home, are required to be certified in the new regulations. They must take new precautions on projects in homes and other buildings built before 1978.
In addition, all construction and contracting companies must be registered with the Feds for lead certification.
Homeowners: Make sure the contractors you hire are compliant with this new law, especially if you live in an older home! More details to come on this topic…
